How Can I Set an Alarm on my Mac without a software download?
I need an answer quickly, please.
I just need to know how to set a wake up alarm on my macbook every morning, but I want it to play one of my iTunes songs. Thanks!!
Add an event to iCal to run an Applescript such as:
tell application “iTunes”
activate
set sound volume to 100
play track 1 of playlist “Wake Up!”
end tell
set volume output volume 75 without output muted
Then you have to go to System Preferences < Energy Saver < Schedule to set your computer to wake at certain time.
Also, you have to make sure the lid to your MB is open, otherwise, it will just go back to sleep. There is a hack for this behavior as well.
