Bag Moss
I put moss in my Chameleon’s tank from the woods out back is that bad for it?
I live in the Pacific NW & we have tons of moss here, so I opted to grab some off the tree outside & rinse it off before sticking it in our chameleon’s tank. Will this hurt him? I just didn’t feel like spending the cash for a tiny bag of it when it’s everywhere round here. I figured it’s a lizard from the rainforest he’ll like it….right?? The humidity has been great ever since…Thursday 2-7-08
As said above, i would spend the extra few bucks on buying that little package off moss.
It’s better than spending $$$ on vet bills IF he were to catch a parasite.
Moss is nothing but bacteria, so i would not risk placing it inside your Chem’s tank.
And believe me, i know how ridiculous the prices are. lol.
But i would rather be safe than sorry & insure the health of my beloved reptile.
