Advertising in home sales, bait and switch?
Most companies have to advertise to get leads for selling in home big ticket items, like pools, siding, windows etc. Most salespersons are allowed to set their high end price then do justifiable drops to get the deal. They all advertise the cheapest product because the phone won’t ring for what they want to sell you. If I sell a pool for example and the one advertised does exist, but they never sell it, even if written in a contract, is that bait and switch for the majority do it and some prospects know this even before they call? If you go to a car dealer and they advertise one car with a stock number but you are there at 6 a.m. and they say it was already sold, it’s the same thing. Your opinion?
Bait and switch simply put is not having for sale what is promised.
