Baitcaster Reel
Does it matter what side your reel is on?
I am a bass fisherman in michigan and i normally use spinning reels, but im trying a new baitcaster my friend gave me. My reel on my spinning reel is on the left side, but on my new baitcaster its on the right. Does it matter????
No, it doesn’t really matter it is just whatever feels more comfortable to you. On almost any reel you have the ability to change what side the reel is on. All you have to do is unscrew the knob on the opposite side of the reel handle (which you can do with your hand) and switch it over to the other side of the reel then screw it back on. Good luck with baitcasting, it’s tough, but definitely worth the time spent to learn it just make sure you have fun!
