How big is an 8 gauge lip ring?
i wanna get my lip pierced and i dont want it to be a big ring, i want it to fit perfect around my lip but i dont know what size to do. Help??
Wow yah, 8 gauge is huge. The gauge is how thick the ring is, and the smaller the gauge number means thicker, while larger gauge numbers mean thinner (so 20 gauge is way thinner than 2 gauge)
You want a smaller diameter lip ring. But when you initially get pierced you can’t have smaller rings because you lip will swell. Also, some places don’t use rings initially only studs because studs are easier to heal with.

As you can see from the link, an 8 gauge would have been really very thick if you had been looking for something small.
