Bugger Black
Fellow Londoners- have we EVER used the word “Mardy-ärse” to mean a “miserable bugger” in London?
Only, me and my family’ve lived up in Lincoln for about the last three years now, and me sister’s started usin’ this phrase in about the last year or so. I’ve heard A LOT of LINCOLNITES use it in me time up here, but I think it sounds bloody ridiculous when said with a broad LONDON accent, (which, for the record, is why I’ve avoided it, AND other Lincoln words and phrases, like the bloody Black Death), and I’ve told me sister that it don’t sound right on her AT ALL! Has this word EVER been used down in London, or is that a LINCOLN phrase she’s picked up? I’d REALLY appreciate YOUR angles on this one, please, guys. Much obliged! Peace and love! Be lucky! 
I’m a Londoner and I never heard of it.. And I love swearing and hurling insults at every opportunity. It’s one of my many interests.
