do you remember an 80s or 70s sci fi movie where the guy has an arm-mounted cannon?
I can vaguely remember the plot but the main character has an arm-mounted cannon (his left arm is inserted to this cannon apparently from an alien). Also, he has this necklace with a black, grenade-looking pendant that he needs to put on before the said cannon works. I hope movie geeks out there can help me. I can’t stop thinking about it! I think the main character changes his appearance when he wears this necklace. I thought it was mad max or mag max but turns out mad max is mel gibson’s.

I think you’re thinking of Laserblast from 1978.
The plot involves a constantly put-upon and bullied young man’s discovery of a laser cannon, his ensuing rampage after continual exposure to the weapon’s radiation mutates him into a wild, destructive monster like thing.
It also has the necklace/pendant you describe. So I’m pretty sure this is the movie.
