The reason why these work very well is because you don’t actually need to kill the rat or mouse in order to get it out of your house. You can easily just trap it, and take it a short distance away to let it go. Here’s what you need to know in order to make an informed choice when buying a trap.
The first thing that you need to know is that there are different traps for different types of animals. The majority of people are dealing with a mouse problem, and these are the most common types of traps that you can buy. Getting humane mousetraps might be a little tough at the hardware store, but you can easily find them online. If possible, try to choose one that comes as a set of three or four, so that you can catch a number of them each night. This is important, since mice other small animals tend to reproduce quickly so you want to catch more of them before they reproduce.
As for the larger animals, you will be something quite a bit bigger. You can get a larger humane traps that are perfect for animal the size of rats all the way up to large ones that can hold a dog. Finally, one important thing that you should know is that you need to take whatever you caught to a good spot to let it go. The best spots for them aren’t near water in a place with lots of trees. This is where these animals naturally live, so putting them back in the spot like this is the best thing that you can do for them.
When it comes to pest control, humane traps are a great alternative for catching rodents. For rats and other similar sized animals, the Havahart 0745 trap is most likely the best all-around trap that you can get.
