Are You Eligible For Minnesota Social Security?

The next step is to consider if you are able to complete the same activities you were doing prior to being diagnosed with the disabling condition. If you are still able to do the work you had been doing prior, you are not eligible to receive social security. If your condition prevents you from doing what you were once able to do, then you are exactly who government disability programs were created to provide assistance to.
The last question is if you are capable of doing any other type of job available to you. The social security administration will look into what you did before, what you are capable of doing now, and other factors such as education or special skills. If the SSA is able to find a job you can do despite the disability, you will not receive social security. If there is no type of work available to you, you will be granted disability benefits.
