Baitcast reel having reeling in troubles.?
I recently received a baicast reel. A Daiwa Megaforce to be exact. Sometimes when I start reeling in the tension from the reel handle begins to vary. It starts becoming very stiff and difficult to reel in but then fixes itself and acts normal and goes to stiff again.
Alright, if this reel is used and hasn’t been cleaned up properly or taken care of in a while, it might be as simple as opening it up putting lube on the moving parts and gears or just spraying the whole inside with WD-40.
If that doesn’t fix the problem then your going to need to make sure the break rods on the side are not bent or staying engaged at the wrong times. Other things is check the gears that the handle attached to there might be a messed up tooth on it.
You can always take it to a reel repair shop if that doesn’t solve it or if you have the warranty.
