What improvements do you think Spinning & Baitcasting reel makers will add in the coming years?
I think about the Daiwa Steez, Shimano Core, Etc and wonder how they can possibly IMPROVE on these reels.
In other words, whats the NEW, hot, feature in reels?
(I’m personally stumped!)

What is NEXT????
I think that they will be made lighter – some type of “super-alloy” will be used reducing weight by about 1/3 – just watch and see. Also: believe it or not I think you’ll see a reduction in bearings –
( I know, I know, some people equate the # of bearings with the quality of the reel, but that is just not the case) anyway, these new bearings will be (if possible) smoother and lighter reducing overall weight. I think you’ll also see an advancement in drag, whether it be a direct drive, washers or what have you, new, better materials will be used…..can’t wait to see the price (LOL)
