how to control a digital potentiometer?
How would I program [in C] a digital potentiometer controlled by an ATMega168?
I will leave it to you do do the program code, but all you need to do is examine the data sheet of the digital potentiometer to determine what code you need to get a given resistance, then program the digital pot for that value. This assumes, of course, you are at least somewhat familiar with the particular digital pot you are using.
