Can I trim fiber optic decorations?
I have a fiber optic Xmas centerpiece that has some extra long fibers sticking out. Can I trim the fibers? They look like randomly placed long hairs left behind by a bad hairdresser, and yes, they do light up. Thanks!
yes you can trim them.. make sure you rough the edges so the light shimmers… if you don’t it’ll just barely glow. (only at the tip..) the uneven look is nice in my opinion… but to some the more anal ones like it more tapered and in line.
be careful when trimming fiber optics.. you can break it or fold it so that you have more of a mess than what you want.
