Betta’s Back Fin Gone?
I currently have a betta fish in a divided tropical tank. I am treating the tank for an outbreak of Ick. My crowtail betta’s back fin practically disappeared overnight. He was fine one night when I checked on him and the next morning 90% of his back fin was gone. Did the ick attack his backfin and he ripped it off or does he have Fin rot?
If it is fin rot how should I go about treating him? I have a 2g fish bowl I could put him in if he needs to be separated but I’d prefer not to stress him if I can avoid it. I don’t know if it would be a bad thing to mix the two medications.
Ideas please?
Extra info: He is DIVIDED as in alone in his own section of a tank with a divider so no other fish can get to him. He also has only silk plants. I have not noticed any ick on him, nor any discolor on the edges of his fins. It is only his tail fin not any others.
