finesse worm vs “action tail” worm?
Is it totally preference or is there a time and place to use each of these different types of worms.
Also, will the splashing of weights while using t-rig scare the bass?

It is more than just preference if you want to be a good angler. Basically it comes down to the bass wanting a certain action over another, according to conditions. On some days you can throw a curly tail worm all day long, and not get a single bite, but when you try a finesse worm, they hit that worm with fury. As far as wieghts go, I use these rules. 1. Only use enough wieght to get the worm to sink, slowely. It shouldn’t rocket to the bottom, and if it does you have too much wieght, unless #2 applies.. 2. You use a heavy wieght if you are fishing heavy weeds, and you need to penetrate the matted weeds, to get to the bass. Have fun and tight lines.
