where can i find tips and things on how to fish in salt water off of bridges or piers?
i want to know what are the best things to use hooks sinkers baits floaters u know i just wanna learn a lil more on how to fish anyone know any website with tips and tricks??

You could also *gasp* start gabbing with a few of the locals. I’ve found that my local bait stores are vast fountains of knowledge when it comes to what baits to use where and when to fish what areas. They don’t want you to go home empty handed, if you do that, why would you go back to them? They gave you bad info (please keep in mind, no one can promise you a catch, but the bait store guy will at least seem to be able to put you somewhere where you can watch someone else catch fish… this way you know it’s not that there’s no fish there, just that you couldn’t catch them.)
Shrimp and clams next to pilings will nearly always pay off… put some weight on… either by using jigs, or bullet weights or splitshot… the closer you can put this to the piling the better, but BE READY!!! Yes, it might just be mangrove snapper, but it could also end up being a big ol’ honkin’ black drum if you’ve got deep enough water. If you can use a hoe or other similar implement to scrape a few barnacles off the pilings, this will further benefit you… not too many, just enough to get the smell going through the water… not only do you have chances at black drum and mangrove snapper, but sheepshead and flounder in the right areas… reds when they come through, oh goodness, the list just goes on and on. Bridges and piers are best… yeah, people like the flats, but your redfish, you can only keep one where I’m at, trout is just a few, but you get into mangroves and sheepshead you can actually fill your cooler with good tasty fish.
