Head Spey
Thinking of getting two kittens?
I’m thinking of getting a couple of kittens but I want to know I’ll be able to afford them first so I have a couple of questions. How much are vaccinations, spey/neutering, microchipping?
They won’t have had any kind of vaccinations but I know they’re meant to have had them by a certain age. When is that?
What age should they be speyed/neutered?
Which is better wet or dry food?
I’ve read so many different things online it’s starting to make my head spin, it can be so conflicting.
I forgot to mention I’m in the UK.
A friend has two kittens that need rehoming.
I got my cats (were kittens when I got them) form a shelter, and I paid a nominal fee for them, but was given a voucher to redeem against their ops. I am afraid I can’t remember how much the ops cost as it was 9 years ago, but I do pay approx 80£ a year for their booster jabs. (discounted for having two done at the same time)
As for food, you never can tell. I started my two off on tinned food then went to the dried food. OMG what a dangerous game that was. Unfortunately one of the side effects of feeding animals dried food is cystitis and had I not noticed it in time my tom cat would have suffered a very painful death. To this day he can’t eat any dried cat biscuits, but the queen will happily chomp away to her hearts content without a worry.
The thing is with dried food you have got to make sure that they drink plenty.
