When were chickens first brought to the west?
Chickens came from South East Asia where there are still wild varieties living in the jungles. I know that Socrates made reference to a cock (rooster) to be sacrificed for him when he was about to be executed. Does anyone know of any earlier references to chickens by non-Asian people?
