Live Target
This question will be the target for many jokes but I live in Puerto Rico near the beach. Minimum clothing?
I am 56; a champion athlete with a good tan.
First, I have to say that I play b-ball so I use b-ball shorts or a long surfer like swimming suit (not strange because I am surfing every day with a wicked board so people don’t give me many problems since the board is a lethal weapon if misused.)
I wear shorts which go almost down to my knees even when I run marathons. People think that is strange but to me men in short shorts look like Larry Byrd looked with those little tight shorts. UGH!!!!
Anyway since many people are very conservative in Puerto Rico, (Others are wild enough)–they don’t like to see me running on the beach with no shirt on. I agree with them when it is a case of a very fat person or a person who is very poor shape who looks disgusting.
What do you think about this complex question of proper beach attire? I don’t wish to go back to the fashion of 1900 but I won’t go out in any bikini underwear either. (If you detect a slight tint of sarcasm, ok)
I’m 52, female and very self-consious about my larger sized body, and I don’t care what others think. I dress the way I am comfortable. No bathing suit for me at the beach. Do what you feel comfortable with. The heck with what others say. Enjoy your life, people our age need to stop worrying so much and enjoy our remaining years
