what type of lure good for small bass and big bass?also alligator gar?
so far white tail and the fish that tail move been succesful,
the river i fish in is a dark brownish water,so what is best light color lure of dark color lure,i tryed orange and yellow but have not caught nothing,and also is it right that alligar also can be caught with lure?and if so what type of lure and color,i have not caught one with bait,came close to,i would really rather catch it with lure,i think its better catching them with lure cuz it takes time and paction,will go to go,bye
The best lures for water with limited visibility (dark or heavily stained waters) are dark lures that make a lot of noise. Bass use their lateral line to locate the lure when they can’t see, this is where the loud lure will help the bass find the bait. Bass will not eat what they can’t find. Try a dark spinner with a Colorado blade, or a rounded bladed that displaces a lot of water. If you fish slow a dark jig with a rattle or without a rattle and jigged against underwater structure will work. I also fish dark plastic worms and tubes, normally junebug or watermelon in color. Most people I see catch gar are with live bait either minnows or cut bait. I have personally caught a few on spinner baits, and one on a junebug worm.
