Is it legal to set up our own sting operation to catch child predators?
My buds wife is a 21 year old Asian woman that’s only 4 foot 9 She can easily pass as a young teen even down to her squeaky voice. She said she’s all for acting as a decoy with the amount of crap she gets. We were all messing around in a chat room one night as a tester and got a lot of hits. She was acting like she just turned 14 to these nut jobs and they fell for it! A flood of cam invites and pics it was a mad house. We got more then we had expected it made us sick angry and said enough is enough. Were going to use my dad’s old rental house that he’s not renting out anymore that has a drive way leading back to an attached garage. Were going to set it up like a teen girl lives in the garage with furniture and posters. So she’d lure them back there and we’d be around the corner of the garage so as soon as he’d walk in the garage door we’d slam it shut and call the cops. We’d have all the chat logs, pics and cam recordings for proof. It’d be like a citizens arrest right?
The FBI and many local and state law enforcement agencies use the help of citizens to further “UC” or under cover operations in the child porn industry.
I would strongly suggest your friend volunteer her services to one of the listed agencies with their guidence.
