What do you think of this poem?
Your smile goes deep down,
Too far for eye to see,
I seem to fall into your eyes,
In hope you will rescue me.
Your name is made a whisper,
When coming from my mouth.
Won’t someone try to help,
Lure me out.
The meter is a bit sporadic and it’s too abstract to get a clear meaning. I’d suggest asking yourself what it says to you, or what you want it to say, and then really try to paint a picture that an outsider could see. Remember, it’s the poets job to make the reader understand, not the readers job to try and figure out some secret personal code.
