BaitRunner: Moving Forward With Shimano Reels

• The 3500, which has a 4.7:1 gear ratio and 300/8lb, 250/12lb line capacity
• The 4500 which has a 4.8:1 gear ratio and a 14/295 17/250 20/195 line capacity
• The 6500 which has a 4.2:1 gear ratio and a 14/295 17/250 20/195 line capacity
What sets this line of Shimano Reels apart is the ease with which they can be handled and their sleek design.
• Front Drag Setting: this setting increases and decreases the drag strength. By turning the notch clockwise, the drag strength is increased. By turning the notch counter-clockwise, the drag strength is decreased. By tightening the notch completely hand, the drag is set to its maximum strength.
• BaitRunner Tension Setting: To put reel in total free spool, flip BaitRunner in BaitRunner On position. Use the Tension Dial to set the correct spool tension for the type of bait you are using. Turning the tension dial all the way to the left gives the lightest free spool tension and to the right, increases the free spool tension.
• Fishing. After making a cast, flip the BaitRunner lever to the BaitRunner On position to effectively fish your bait in controlled free spool. To set the hook, just turn the handle forward and the BaitRunner will instantly shift to Drag On. By doing this, the drag selected previously will take over as the fish is put in. The BaitRunner can be shifted manually by flipping the lever to the Drag On position.
