How does Airlines “no show” work when using return ticket?
I have a roundtrip booked from say between City X and City Y. Let’s say on the day when I am supposed to leave, I miss the flight from City X to City Y. However I use other means to travel to City Y and on the return date, can I use the original ticket to return from City Y to City X.
In other words, I am not asking the airlines for refund and not making any chnages. Let them fly empty seat on outbound in my name. I want to know if I can return just fine while coming back using my ticket.
I called the airlines they are giving me confliciting information. One agent said, I cannot do it. Another agent said I can do it. My question is, what is the problem for Airlines here if I miss the flight and I am not asking them for any refund. They are just flying empty seat for which I have paid for it. All I am asking is, returning using the return flight for which also I had paid for it.
I think they will cancel it unless u call thm and ask and see what they see.
