Which is a better fish for a 5 gallon aquarium starter pack?
Which is a better fish for a starter pack aquarium that is 5 gallons? Neon Tetras or Balla Sharks?
Neither would be great. You could get away with a few neons if water quality is good. Guppies, betas, or a few other small livebearers might be more suited. Smaller tanks are difficult to maintain water quality in initially. I wouldnt introduce more than one fish at a time for a tank that small. Small inverts like shrimp and snails would be nice additions. Shrimp can be sensitive to nitrates so make the tank is established before adding them. Good luck!
And add a tablespoon or two of aquarium salt. Reduces chances of getting ick!
