how to put line on an overhead baitcaster reel?
i bought a new fishing rod and reel im used to the old eggbeater but never used an overhead reel before i just want to know how to tie the line off in it `what is the best way`
I don’t quite understand the overhead part but on a baitcaster this is how it is done. go to this link and see the knot that is used for this- http://animatedknots.com/improvedclinch/index.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com- go through it until you find the right one.It will tell you the usage of each knot.
And when it is put on, be sure and fix the spool of line so it can rotate and the line will be coming off the top of the spool as the spool turns. This will ensure that the line does not twist as it goes on the reel.
