Can you help wife recover from hip surgery by suggesting the correct bed to recover in?
The wife is having hip surgery. What mattress should we get for the next year or two during her recovery? Should we get the form-fitting foam rubber “postro-pedic’ or the kind you adjust with separate air regulators that are so well advertised? I hear the foam rubber ones get warm as you lay for long periods on them.
If your wife is having hip replacement surgery, she should be fine on a regular mattress that isn’t worn out (too soft or sagging). I’ve had both hips replaced and I did fine on my regular mattress. However if you’re mattress shopping and want to spend some $$, you might like the sleep number or foam mattresses. You may find that you can try out the mattress at home before committing.
Also – BTW – if she is having hip replacement, her recovery should be way less than two years.
