what sort of fly rod should i get?
i an looking at a sage launch combo
and what weight should i get i will be in medium to small rivers
Firstly that’s an excellent choice!-i purchased one for my on about 2 years ago now and have to say they are excellent rods for the price. The issue of which weight to get is a slight problem however, it really does depend on how much tree cover there is and the types of flies you will be using.
I would suggest a 4wt, however if you are fishing big streamers and heavy “bugs” or czech nymphs then a 5wt would suit your fishing.
