FISHING INFO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
when is it pre spawn bass season and what does prespawn mean
i am going fishing for bass tomorrow at a lake on the shore not in a boat and i have lures a black jitter bug,
exude worms i might get senko worms and power bait shold i get anything else or wat. and wat time of the day should i fish that stuff i got.
should i get anything else for bait
i live in sacramento California
and i am going to go to folsom lake and wat part of folsom lake should i go
Pre spawn isn’t really “set in stone” everywhere. Typically pre spawn is when the water gets up to the 65-70 degree mark. Fish will start preparing for the spawn afterwards of course. It’s basically the preperation before the spawn.
The most productive baits are going to be shad imitations. Pass on the Jitterbug for now, you’ll be better of with that a little after the spawn. As for the worms, you’ll more tha likely get a few in but don’t expect several fish. The Senko can be pretty productive when drop shotting this time of year. If you’re wanting to throw a worm I’d stick to drop shotting the Senko. If I were you I’d make sure I had plenty of spinnerbaits, swimbaits, crankbaits, and maybe a suspending jerkbait or 2 all in a few different colors and sizes if possible. Try focusing on the points and structure in the lake. Fish will be holding fairly deep and in cover. Fish both, the points and structure thoroughly with different baits and you should have some luck. Points hold a lot of fish this time of year so if you throw one bait without any luck throw something else and something else until you start getting hits.
