Side Plates
i’m attaching 2 steel plates to either side of my main support beam in the beasement.?
Now should i place the two beams at the top of the wood beam or at the bottom?
Be careful!! Bottom or sides (one each side) for sure!!! HOWEVER: Why are you doing this? Is there sagging? How are you fixing it? Screws, bolts – in that case – what centre-spacings and what gauge?? How thick is the steel plate?
Not being rude or disrespectful – I think you need to get advice – you sound like you have no clue what you are doing. There’s a point where saving money on DIY can cost you very dearly.
Anyone have recipes for cornish hens and side plate ideas?
