Berkley Gulp Saltwater Bait- Seasoned anglers that only saltwater fish have some very distinct favorites when it comes to bait and Berkley Gulp Saltwater Shrimp happens to be one of those baits that these fishermen rely on the most. Before coming to this conclusion though, it wasn’t without trying many other types of baits and lures and fishing gadgets that came out on the market for any length of time.
Most often there was good success with a variety of jigheads and Saltwater Assassins but it was determined after using the Berkley Gulp Saltwater Shrimp that there was more opportunity to land the fish of sport than with the other choices. That doesn’t mean to say these other lures are not good because they most certainly are but one has to admit that Berkley Gulp Saltwater is at the top of the list when looking for a great bait.
This doesn’t just seem to be the consensus of the individuals who consistently fish saltwater but also of that who only gets the opportunity when on vacation. Although there are many features that the fishermen like about this bait, they seem to like the fact that there are such a large number of shapes. Every angler has his opinion as to what fish like what best. By having multiple shapes to choose from this allows them to keep within their range of opinion. It must be said the same goes for the sizes and colors as well. In the color, range there probably isn’t a color that you won’t find in the Berkley Gulp Saltwater. For shapes, you can find squid, crabs, eels and even sand fleas and even more. Not much missing from the fish menu.
One of the most impressive points about this bait is that it is renowned for its scent. This is probably one of the leading causes of fish being so attracted to it. It is said that the Berkley Gulp Saltwater supercedes all other plastic lures by 400 times. With strength like this, it can outlive the odor of live bait making it all that much more attractive.
Some anglers feel that the Berkley Gulp Saltwater is a bit pricey when it comes to bait. At first glance, it may seem that when you look at the price at face value. Then there are other issues that much be considering this when giving it some thought. To begin with, it works so that makes it worth the money right there. It’s scent doesn’t evaporate easily but you must make sure that you keep sealed tightly in bags or the odor will fade from constant exposure to the air. More so, they will dry out and become brittle. The Berkley Gulp Saltwater is a soft plastic and must be kept in that state to be effective in the water.
Often new comers to plastic bait are amazed at the effectiveness of it particularly when it is Berkley Gulp Saltwater because their fishing trip reaps the benefits of the first catch of the day for the most part.
