How can I tie in my pet portrait art service with animal or pet organizations?
I always thought my pet portrait busniss would be a good way to tie in with animal charities, stores, or organizations, but I need ideas on how to approach people or find websites online that could become partners with me. I’m not great at promotion or public relations.
Do you do photographs or paintings? The following applies more to photography.
Our local humane society sponsors Christmas pet portraits as a fundraiser each year. You might promise a portion of your profit to go to the humane society in exchange for setting up at their facility to take the portraits. People like this. It increases traffic and awareness at the shelter, and folks hear about your business.
If you are an artist, consider memorial portraits. Seek out a pet crematory or possibly partner with veterinarians to offer a lasting memory for people who have lost their pets.
