Is it possible to reduce weight by swallowing a tape worm.?
It seems that Maria Calas ate a lot of tartar steaks and got infected with a tape worm and it transformed her from a almost obese person to a slim and shapely woman.
In 1920, there was an actual weight loss pill that had tapeworms in it. The pill wasn’t very popular. Side effect: anal itching.
You would lose weight by swallowing a tapeworm because a tapeworm steals all the nutrients from the food you eat, and sometimes from your body. You often have diarrhea if you have a tapeworm. People have died from tapeworms. If this Maria Calas really got infected with tapeworm, she’s lucky she isn’t dead or she didn’t get deathly ill.
